In August 2023, the Bureau des enquêtes indépendantes hired an Indigenous investigator, Ms. Lynda Gosselin, a member of the Timiskaming First Nation. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Work and has accumulated nearly 30 years of professional experience in various Indigenous communities in Quebec. Her expertise and knowledge make her a valuable asset to the organization.
Additionally, in December 2024, a new resource joined the BEI team as a liaison officer for First Nations and Inuit. Ms. Marjorie Comeau-Beaulieu has studied in various fields, including psychology, criminology, and Indigenous studies. One of her missions is to develop relationships with First Nations and Inuit.
Ms. Comeau-Beaulieu is also available to inform you about the role of the BEI and assist you in understanding how to access our services.
